Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas just a few days late.  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.  I decided to enter my Christmas cards into the peachy keen photo challenge.  This is the picture that inspired the cards below.

These cards were super simple to make.  Everything was cut with my Cameo.  The banner and nesting shapes came from the Silhouette store and the adorable gingerbread people came from SVG cutting files.  I put everything together, added some stickles, doodling, heat embossed my sentiment and added an adorable PKS face.  Easy peasy!

Baking weekend

Hello everyone!  I have another digital project to share with you.  I have been slowly teaching myself to use photoshop elements and I must say I have learned a lot over the last few weeks watching you tube and just trial and error.  Tonight I taught myself how to use brushes so I could add stitching!  It didn't turn out perfectly but not too bad for my first attempt.
Onto my LO, a couple years ago the girls in my family had a baking weekend where we decided to bake all kinds of Christmas cookies.  It was so much fun and we had tons and tons of cookies.  I designed my LO in photoshop elements and used a digital kit from Amber Shaw called Gingerbread.

Digital Scrapping!

Hello everyone!  I have something a little different for you tonight.  I love taking pictures but I am awful when it comes to printing them and scrapping.  Recently I decided to try digital scrapbooking.  Since all of my pictures are on the computer anyway, I thought I would give it a shot.  So, I bit the bullet, bought PSE12, watched A LOT of you tube videos and decided to give it ago.  I have to say that I love it!  Plus, it is a lot neater than pulling all my paper out.  It is also nice to be able to hit delete when I don't like something.  Here is one of my first pages.  The picture was taken in 2011 on a family trip to Disney.  Along with my "paper" projects, I will also start sharing my digital scrapping projects.  Hopefully, I can get caught up on all my scrapbooking. :)

Happy birthday Jordan!

Good morning everyone!  I have a super quick card to share with you.  Today is my son's birthday.  I am never a big fan of making cards for boys.  However, the boys in my house LOVE Starwars.  Jaded Blossom had a Starwars blog hop awhile back and I thought this was the perfect time to use the free files! The card base came from the Silhouette store.  Everything was cut with my Cameo, super quick and easy!

PKS Photo Inspiration

Hello everyone!  For the first time in awhile, I have some free time.  I love being able to sneak away on a Saturday afternoon and spend some time crafting!  Tonight I decided to make something for Peachy Keen's photo inspiration.  I absolutely love the colors!  Here is the picture for the challenge:

Here is my card.  The adorable image is a SVG from My Scrap Chick's harvest kids.  I cut it out with my Cameo.  The sentiment is from My Creative Time and was stamped on a Spellbinders which was cut out with my Sizzix Big Kick.  I added some doodling, glossy accents, chalk and of course a Peachy Keen face!

PKS Leaves Challenge

Hello everyone!  I got a chance to do some crafting today and decided to use some of my Peachy Keen stamps that have been sitting in my closet just waiting to be used.  I colored the entire card with Copics.  The leaves are dies from My Creative Time. I cut them out on white card stock and then colored them with Copics.  Some of the leaves are blended better than others but that's ok. :)  To finish the card up, I added some glossy accents to the puppy's eyes and paws.  I just love that little puppy, so cute!

Happy Birthday Bryson!

Hello everyone!  It has been forever since I have had any time to do anything crafty.  Things have been a bit crazy around here.  Here is the shortened version, my husband has safely returned from his year long deployment.  I am finishing up my last clinical and studying for my boards.  Other than that, we are adjusting to having our family back under the same roof.  It is such a nice feeling!

One of my good friend's son is turning one in about a week.  His birthday party is next weekend and the theme is down on the farm.  I thought this was a perfect time to pull out my Peachy Keen stamp of the month from May that I have not had time to play with.  Here is the photo in which I took the color inspiration from:

I colored the adorable little cow with Copic markers and the balloon was cut out with my silhouette.  I added some twine for the balloon string, glossy accents to the eyes and chalk for the cheeks.  So easy!

Superhero Badges

Hello everyone!  I have some super simple cards to share with you today.  Since I have some free time, I am trying to make some projects ahead of time so they are done and out of the way.  These cards were so easy to make.  The files came from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.  I offset the shape of the badge and then welded it together to make a shape card.  As for the rest of it, I just cut it out with my Cameo and heat embossed the sentiment.  So simple!

I'm a Love Pirate...

Hello everyone!  It has been so long since I have gotten any time to craft but I finally got some today.  Things have been crazy with my husband deployed, school, work and all the home emergencies that keep happening.  Even though my time is limited right now, it has not stopped me from buying supplies.  I had both Jaded Blossom and My Creative Time supplies just waiting to be used!  I got my chance today!  I made this card to send to my husband who is currently overseas.  When I saw the Cheesy Pick Ups from Jaded Blossom, I knew I wanted them.  They are so much fun!

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  I took a brief break this weekend from the mountain of things on my to do list to make a quick card.  I must say I absolutely love the dies from My Creative Time.  They are especially wonderful when I am in a hurry and need to whip something up really quickly.  This card was super simple.  Everything was cut out of dies from My Creative Time with my Sizzix Big Kick.  I paper pieced the hot air balloon and the background was heat embossed with clear embossing powder and a background stamp from Peachy Keen.

PKS 3-D Bears

Hello everyone!  I have a little home decor project to share with you today.  It was super easy to throw together.  I found that cute little bucket at Michaels and knew I wanted to do something with it.  The adorable bear is from Peachy Keen's add on sets for January's SOTM.  I colored him with Copics and added some glossy accents to his eyes.  The hearts and flowers are dies from MCT.  I sprayed the flowers with perfect pearls but it is hard to tell in the picture.  I think this will make a perfect addition to my holiday decorations!

Hello everyone and happy Saturday!  I got my new SOTM from Peachy Keen in the mail the other day and couldn't resist playing with my new stamps!  I cut the candies with my Silhouette from the SVG's I get with the stamp set.  Although it is hard to see in the picture, I added glossy accents and glitter to the candy.  The cute little bear was colored with Copics.  I added some twine and glossy accents to the eyes and was done!  This is the sketch we had to work with:

Quick & Easy Tutorial

Hello everyone!  I have two very simple cards and a tutorial to share with you today.  While browsing Pintrest, I came across a tutorial from Bugjuiced.  The instructions are on her blog but essentially all you do is cut the layers, stamp, and then pop them up!  So simple, but it makes such a cute card!  The kraft card stock layers were cut at the following sizes; 5.5 x 4", 4.5 x 3.25", and 3.5 x 2.25".  The white card stock layers were cut at the following sizes; 5.25 x 3.75", 4.25 x 3", and 3.25 x 2".  Once the layers are cut, stack the white layers together.  I used a tiny bit of adhesive to hold them in place while I stamped.  Once that's done, take apart the white layers and adhere them to the colored card stock.  Then use pop dots to adhere the layers together.  These cards I made to send overseas to my husband.  I have sent a lot of care packages but have been slacking when it comes to sending cards.  The stamp sets I used are from My Creative Time, 100% Sweetness and Lots of Love.

Lots of Peachy Keen Goodness

Hello everyone!  I have had lots of craft time this weekend!  It was fabulous!  Plus, I got happy mail from My Creative Time on Saturday and couldn't resist to play with her latest release, so cute!  The two cards I have to share with you are for Peachy Keen's Anything Goes challenge and the "use anything new" challenge at the Peachy Keen Connection. The cute little bear is an SVG from Scrapping Bug Designs.  I added some stickles, chalk and an adorable Peachy Keen face.  I made my own background paper by randomly stamping stamps from Emma's new release and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  The squares are Spellbinders which I bought black Friday and had not used yet.  It has taken me a long time to buy any but I love them!

For my next card, we had to use something new.  Almost everything in this card was new to me.  The circles are Spellbinders that I had not used yet, the background stamp and image stamp I bought the last time Peachy Keen had a sale.  I love that cute little cupid!  The cupid was colored with Copics and stickles were added to the cloud, wings, and halo.  The flag die came from My Creative Time.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Happy New Year

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!  I am so excited to welcome 2013, 2012 has had more than it's fair share of challenges.  I do have a card to share with you today.  I know that the holidays are officially over but it's never too soon to start for next year. :)  Plus, I could not resist playing with the files I just bought from Stinking Cute Paper Piecings.  Adorable!  I ran the scarf, snow and ski's through my Big Kick to add some texture.  I also added some stickles to the snow but it's a little hard to see in the picture.  To finish it up, I added some brads to the side, chalk, glossy accents, and doodling!
