FCCB Challenge Me Monday #104

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Mine was fabulous but not nearly long enough.  My husband and I attended Strong Bonds, which is a couple's retreat for members of the military and their spouse.  I was a little apprehensive about going, mainly because I wasn't really sure what to expect.  However, to any military spouse out there I highly recommend it.  I actually got a lot out of it.  Plus, it was just kind of nice to get away.

It's Monday which means another challenge at FCCB.  This is the last week of March and as the saying goes, it comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.  So, this week we want to see your projects with gentle animals on them (lamb, kitten, puppy, etc.).

A good friend of mine is pregnant with their first child.  She is due in August and found out that they will be having a boy.  As I was looking through my cartridges, I found an adorable image on Sugar and Spice.  I have had the cartridge for awhile and never used it.  I am really bad about that. :)  The base of my card was cut at 5" x 6.5" and the mat was cut at 4.5" x 6".  Both the lamb and bear came from Sugar and Spice and were cut at 2.5"  The baby blocks came from New Arrival and were cut at 2".  I originally had them cut at 2.5" but they were way too big.  The border came from Elegant Edges and was resized in my Gypsy.  I also added some Vintage Photo distress ink to it to give it a different look.  Finally, I added some glossy accents, chalk, and doodling.

Thinking of You

Hello everyone!  The weekend is almost here and I am so ready for it.  It has been a long week and I am most certainly ready to get away this weekend.  I made a quick card tonight.  The base was cut at 5" x 6.5".  This adorable flower came from Peachy Keen and was cut with my Cuttlebug.  I have so many buttons that I do not use often enough and decided to pull them out tonight.  I added twine to them, glossy accents to the eyes, and some doodling.

PKS Challenge #9

Hello everyone!  Happy Tuesday!  Although things have been pretty busy around here, I did get a chance to play with my Copics and PKS March SOTM.  Peachy Keen is having a color challenge and I decided to play along.  This is the color palette they gave us to work with.
Here is my card.  The base of my card was cut at 4" x 5.5".  The flower mat was cut at 3.5" x 5".  The border came from Elegant Edges and was resized in my Gypsy so it was 1" x 5.5" and the blue circle was cut at 2.5".  To finish it up I added some stitching and ribbon.

FCCB Challenge Me Monday

Happy Monday!  The weekend was gorgeous and went by way too quickly.  Saturday we took a five hour drive to see my husband's great aunt and uncle.  We spent a few hours visiting with them and then drove five hours back home.  It was a good trip but made for a long day.  Today was spent resting but I could really use an extra day in the weekend.

This week at FCCB we are celebrating spring and want to see your projects with flowers (at least three).  The base of my card was cut at 5" x 6.5".  I embossed the green background paper with my Cuttlebug.  All of the flowers came from the cartridge Walk in my Garden and were cut at 2.5".  The cute little bee is a PKS Cottage Cutz die.  For the finishing touches, I added some twine, stickles, glossy accents, and doodling around the flowers.

I Believe in Leprechauns!

Happy Monday everyone!  The weekend flew by.  It seems that as the weather gets nicer, we have more going on each weekend.  I think my creativity is slowly starting to come back to me.  I received some happy mail from an order I placed with Peachy Keen this weekend.  I ordered some Cottage Cutz dies and decided to play with them today.

The base of the card was cut at 4" x 5.5", the pot of gold was cut at 3", the hat was cut at 3.5", and the grass was cut at 3.5" x 1".  I used my Cuttlebug to cut out the Tear Bear.  The cloud background came from a Pink By Design background stamp and I used Broken China distress ink to stamp it.  Stickles were added to the gold and glossy accents to the eyes and nose.  Finally, I used some twine for a bow, chalk for the cheeks and some doodling around the edges.  I think he turned out pretty cute!

FCCB Challenge Me Monday

Hello everyone!  Welcome to another FCCB Challenge Me Monday!  This week we are celebrating the beginning of March by making projects with the theme "In Like A Lion" (make a project with a cat, tiger, lion, etc.).

I decided to go with the cat theme and use a cut from Kate's ABC's.  Although this is the first time I have used this cartridge, it has some adorable images!  The base of my card is 4" x 5.5".  My patterned paper was cut at 3.5" x 5" and the cat was cut at 3".  As for the mat, the cut came from Elegant Edges and I resized it in my Gypsy (5" x 3").  For the finishing touches, I added some doodling and some ribbon.

Top O' The Mornin' To You

Hello everyone!  I feel like lately I haven't been able to spend much time making anything.  Things have been absolutely crazy around here.  Hopefully they will slow down soon and allow me some more crafting time.  I do have another card to share with you.  I kept this one pretty simple.  The base is 4" x 5.5".  The orange square was cut at 3.5" x 3.5" and the yellow was cut at 2.5" x 2.5".  I inked Vintage Photo distress ink on the kraft card stock and then embossed it with my Cuttlebug.  The cute little leprechaun came from Peachy Keen and I colored him with Copic markers.  I still need some practice.  I am not happy with how his skin came out but I will keep practicing.

FCCB Challenge Me Monday

Hello everyone!  Welcome to my first post as a member of the FCCB Design Team!  This week's theme is Luck of the Irish, use a shamrock or the color green in your project.  When I was out and about earlier this week, I stopped in the dollar store.  I always see people finding random things that are perfect for crafting.  I found this cute little glitter pail and knew I wanted to use it for this weeks challenge.  My little leprechaun came from Simply Charmed and he was cut at 2".  The shamrocks on each side are also cut at 2" and came from Paper Doll Dress Up.

This week we have been sponsored by the wonderful ladies over at Jaded Blossom.  They sent some stamps for a few of us to play with and I was one of the lucky ones who got to use them.  You should definitely go check them out.  They have all sorts of stamps and great items for party favors!
