Celebrate the Occasion - Challenge #31

Hello!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  Mine was great.  I spent most of Saturday at the soccer fields.  They won their first game and lost the second one.  Today was spent mostly with my youngest sister running last minute wedding errands and working on my speech.  For the most part everything is done, I just need to pack and make a wedding card.  I am so excited to see my family and friends later in the week!  It is going to be so much fun!  Here is my card for the day.

Link Up Love Party: How it Works

*Link Up Party runs from Tuesday 9/20 to Tuesday 9/27. Winners announced 10/3
*Grab my blinkie and post on your blog's sidebar
*Be a follower of this blog
*Create a new blog post that is titled Link Up Love Party with K Andrew. In your post, you must mention that the link up love party is a way to get to know each other and find new blog inspiration, mention my blog, with a link back to my blog .
*Post your favorite project that you've done in your blog post THAT HAS TO DO WITH FALL/HALLOWEEN!!
*Copy and paste the link up code into your blog post so the Inlinkz will show up on your blog
*Spread the word so everyone can join in!
*You must visit, follow, and comment on the 5 people before you AND the 5 people after you in the Inlinkz. It would be fantastic if you would visit as many as you can--maybe everyone? If you are one of the first 5 then you will need to blog the ones before you and a few more after--as long as it's a minimum of 10 near you in the link up tool/gadget)
If you do not do the above your link will be deleted, because it's just not fair to those who work so hard linking up and showing love to the ones on the list. I have two moderators who will be checking this out to keep it awesome and fun!

I do not have very many Halloween projects made but this one is my favorite.  It just turned out so cute!

Whimsical Wednesday - Challenge #23

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  The bachelorette/bachelor party bar crawl was a success.  We had tons of fun.  I have spent the last couple of days recovering though.  I have however finally gotten caught up on my sleep and have a card to share with you.  I bought the Flower Shoppe cartridge not too long ago but hadn't had a chance to play with it.  I have to say I LOVE this cartridge!  It was so much fun to play with and there are just so many options.  The only tricky part was the middle and I found a quilling tool works great!

Cardz TV: Cricut Cardz Challenge #91

Hello!  The weekend is finally here and I am so ready!  My sister and her fiancé are having their joint bachelor and bachelorette bar crawl this weekend.  It should be so much fun!  Two weeks from tomorrow they will be married.  I can't believe how quickly the last year has gone.  My card for today was super simple.  All the cuts came from the Mini Monsters cartridge.  The adorable face on Dracula comes from Peachy Keen's Monster Mash set.

Thanks for stopping by.  I am off to bed, so much to do tomorrow but it should be so much fun!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Smile, It's Your Birthday!

Hello everyone!  I can't believe Wednesday is already here.  The weekend will be here before you know it!  It was a rainy, fall day here, which meant no soccer practice tonight.  It was nice to spend the evening at home.  I got to play with my Cricut and do some reading.  I am currently reading the second book in the Hunger Games series, Catching Fire.  I am addicted to these books.  I can't seem to put them down.  However, I did manage to make a birthday card tonight.

Forget Prince Charming, I Have a Soldier

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Today's project was inspired by Cricut 360's Hero Challenge.    I guess you would say I come from a very military family.  Out of six kids in my family, three of us were in the military (me, my sister and one of my brothers).  Although I am no longer in the service, in so many ways I still am, as my husband is career military.  We actually used to be in the same unit, which is how we met.  We were married in June of 2005 and he deployed to Iraq that September.  The first year and half of or marriage was spent apart. Due to all of my experience in the military, I have tremendous respect for service members and their families.  This card was made for my own military hero, my husband.

Happy Wednesday!

Happy Wednesday!  This week is flying by and the weather has been absolutely gorgeous.  I love the cooler temperatures around this time of year.  I have two cards to share with you today.  Both were made for my step-son to give to my in-laws for Grandparent's Day.  My mother-in-law loves anything with a beachy feel and my father-in-law loves motorcycles.  So, these cards fit their interests perfectly.  For my mother-in-law's card I played with Peachy Keen's current sketch challenge.  Here is what the sketch looks like:

LFIF - Back To School

Happy Labor Day!  I hope you all have had a relaxing three day weekend!  The weather outside today is gorgeous!  It was a bit chilly this morning but has warmed up to about 70's and I am loving every second of it!  Today I decided to play with Emma's Small Talk stamp set.  I love the idea of making sets of notecards for people.  Plus, I have so many paper scraps and this is an excellent way to use them up.  So, I decided to make some notecards to give to my mom.  I figured she could give these to her students or whoever.  These were super simple.  The sentiments were all heat embossed along with the Peachy Keen faces.  The inside squares were cut at 3x3 and the card itself was cut at 3 1/2 x 3 1/2.

Here is the gift bag I made to put them in.  I need to come up with something better than a ziplock but that's all I had at home.

My Creative Time Throwback Thursday

Hello everyone!  I hope you all are having a relaxing holiday weekend.  I spent yesterday hanging out with my sisters, which is one of my absolute favorite things to do.  My youngest sister had a cross country meet so we went and watched that yesterday morning.  She did well but it was so hot!  We then spent the rest of the day working on wedding stuff.  I have spent most of the day today working on wedding stuff as well.  I did have some time to make a Halloween card though.  My Creative Time is having a Cricutless challenge.  I normally steer clear of these, they kind of freak me out.  However, I decided to give this one a shot.  I am quite happy with the way it turned out.  I used Martha Stewart's Drippy Goo border punch, some buttons, ribbon and twine.

I hope you enjoyed my project.  I am off to watch some Hulu and then bed.  Have a wonderful rest of the night!

DCD Challenge #30

Good evening all!  Tonight was pretty uneventful.  However, I did do my grocery shopping for next week and cleaned the house.  I love my dog but it would be nice if she would pick up her toys and vacuum the carpet every now and then. :)   I made a really simple Thanksgiving card this evening.  The turkey came from the Simply Charmed cartridge.  As for the stamps, the face is from Peachy Keen's Critter Faces and the sentiment is from Pink By Design's Bountiful Blessings.

Have a wonderful night!
