Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas!  I have been busy the last couple of days prepping for Christmas festivities and visiting friends.  I have a quick project to share with you that I made for my neighbors.  This is not my original idea but I was inspired by Emma over at My Creative Time to make a snow globe of my own.  You can see her original post here.  I had a few mason jars left over from Christmas last year and decided to put them to good use.  The snow I bought from Wal-Mart and used some tinsel to give it some glitter (hard to see in the picture).  I cut the penguin with my Cameo and hung it with some twine from the lid of the jar.  I added some stickles to the penguin and stamped an adorable Peachy Keen face on him.  To finish it up, I hot glued some ribbon to the lid.  So easy!

PKS Sketch

Hello everyone!  I am back!  It has been a crazy month.  About a month ago I had some water damage to my house and had to have most of my carpet replaced.  It took about a month, but my house is finally back to normal!  The carpet has been replaced, my baseboards are back on, my vanity has been fixed and there are no more holes in my wall!  Yay!!!!  Most of my stuff has managed to make it back into the house, which means I am back to crafting!  Yesterday I made a card for Peachy Keen's Sketch challenge.  It was so nice to be creating again!  The base of my card was cut at 5"x6.5".  The mat is a file from the Silhouette Store and the adorable candles are from Peachy Keen's December Stamp of the Month.  I colored the candles with my Copics and added some twine.  So easy!

PKS Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday!  I have had quite the week.  I originally made this card for a challenge at the Peachy Keen Connection.  However, on Saturday, my toilet decided to break and I ended up with an inch of standing water in my bathroom.  Oh how the water quickly spread to my bedroom, living room and hallway.  Luckily, my sister and brother-in-law were at my house to help clean up.  I do not know what I would have done without their help.  They were awesome!  However, I had to call in some professionals and will need some new carpet.
On to my card.  The base was cut at 5"x6.5".  The oval and scallop came from the Silhouette store and the cute little deer is an SVG from My Scrap Chick.  I distressed the edges of the card and deer and added some glossy accents to the eyes.

Hello everyone!  It's Monday which means it is challenge time at the FCCB blog!  This will be my last post for the FCCB DT!  I have had a wonderful time getting to know the talented ladies I have been working with.  However, there is a lot going on in my personal life right now.  Therefore, I made the decision to step down and not continue another term.  This week we are seeing spots and want to see your projects with polka dots.  My card this week is super simple.  The ghost was cut at 3.5" and came from Simply Charmed.  I stamped a cute PKS face on it, added some twine, glossy accents and chalk.

Challenge Me Monday #131

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  Mine was good but super busy.  I am ready for things to slow down for me a bit but I am not sure that will happen anytime soon.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and this week at FCCB we want to see your projects with the color pink.
My project is not Breast Cancer themed but it does contain the color pink. :)  The base of my card was cut at 4"x5.5"  The ice cream cone was cut at 3.5" and came from Simply Charmed.  I used Martha Stewart's Drippy Goo punch to punch different layers of color and then added some twine.  To finish the card off I added an adorable Peachy Keen face, some chalk, and doodling.

Challenge Me Monday & Winner!

Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge at FCCB!  I hope you all are enjoying your holiday weekend!  This week's theme is On The Job.  We want to see your occupation inspired projects.  For my card, I used both my Cricut and Silhouette.  My Gypsy was not cooperating and my cartridges are so unorganized.  I didn't realize how reliant I was on it until it decided not to work.  The matted images came from Elegant Edges and the nurse is a Lettering Delights Simple Shapes file.  I stamped a Peachy Keen face on her, added some twine, glossy accents, and some doodling.

Before I forget, I used Random.org to draw the winner from the Cricut Crawl.  Congrats Kim!  I will send you an email shortly so I can get your cartridge in the mail!

PKS Anything Goes

Hello everyone!  Happy Labor Day weekend!  I have a birthday card to share with you that I am entering in PKS Anything Goes Challenge.  Everything was cut with my Silhouette.  The mat files and banner I used came from the Silhouette Store.  Hulk is an SVG that came from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.  I love these superhero files.  They are perfect for boy cards and so easy to cut out and put together.  I inked the edges of the banner and Hulk with Peeled Paint distress ink.  I added some chalk and doodling and was done.

Summer is coming to an end and we are all getting ready for BACK TO SCHOOL...each Design Team member will be featuring an original BACK TO SCHOOL Project that includes a SCHOOL RELATED  Item, such as crayons, rulers, pencils, book, school bus, etc. along with at least ONE Cricut Cut.

How fun is that?

For my project I made an adorable classroom decoration for my mom's classroom.  I found plastic containers in the dollar bins at Michaels.  They almost look like cup coolers.  I took crayons and hot glued them all the way around the container.  The container is filled with vase rocks for weight.  The images all came from Peachy Keen's August SOTM and were colored with Prismacolor Pencils.  To mat each image, I used Elegant Edges and resized the image to fit each shape.  I used foam mounting tape to adhere the images to dowels.  The dowels were cut to the desired length based on how it looked.  To finish the project, I added some glossy accent to the eyes and a bow around the container.  I think it will be the perfect addition to my mom's classroom.

PKS Box It Up

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  My sister came up and we had a crafty weekend, so much fun!  Peachy Keen is having a 3-D box challenge.  My husband is currently deployed and has a birthday coming up.  I decided to make an explosion box for his birthday care package.  Last October, we spent a week at Disney and I decided to use some of the pictures from our trip so he has a little something to remind him of home.

On to my box, I will warn you, there are a lot of pictures. :)  The box itself is a file from the Silhouette Store, Captain America is an SVG from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons, and the other files are SVG's from Lettering Delights.  The box itself was super simple, I just resized the files to fit into the desired space on the box, put in some pictures and was done.  I am hoping he will love it!
