My first Copic project

Hello everyone!  I have a new obsession....coloring!  I have wanted to get into Copic markers for a long time but have always been bit overwhelmed.  After Christmas, I bit the bullet.  My sister and I ordered some markers and decided to learn how to do this together.  My markers arrived a few weeks ago and I have finally had a chance to play with them.  Although I need a lot of practice, I love these markers!  So here is my very first Copic coloring project.  The cute little skunk came from Peachy Keen and the border came from Elegant Edges.  To finish my card, I added some glossy accents to his eyes and doodling around the edges.

MCT Throwback Thursday

Happy Valentine's Day!  Emma at My Creative Time is having another Throwback Thursday challenge.  The only requirement is to make a project bug themed.  Although I love the little lady bug from the Simply Charmed cartridge, I am less than thrilled with how my card turned out.  I feel like it is missing something. Since I didn't really have time to do anything else, I will go with what I have.  The base of my card was cut at 4" x 5.5", the ladybug was cut at 3.5" and the mat was cut at 3.5" x 5".  I stamped a cute little Peachy Keen face on it and added some ribbon and doodling.

PKS Challenge #4

Happy Monday everyone!  It looks like snow has finally hit Missouri.  It has been snowing all day and we probably have a couple of inches on the ground.  I may actually have to shovel my driveway this winter.  I have another card to share with you today.  Peachy Keen is holding another photo challenge.  I was inspired by all the bright, bold colors and wanted to make a project that represented that.  The base of my card was cut at 4" x 5.5".  The banners came from the Cricut cartridge Birthday Bash.  The sizes are as follows; yellow 0.5" x 4.25", blue 0.5" x 4.5" and green 0.5" x 4.75".  I added some Vintage Photo distress ink, flowers,  and doodling to the mat for the duck.  The adorable duck and accessories came from Peachy Keen's Cottage Cutz collection.  I am in love with these dies and will probably be doing a lot more with them.  They are so fun!

Love

Hello everyone!  I feel like I haven't blogged in forever.  There has been a lot going on around the here and I have just not been feeling very creative.  I did get a bunch of new stuff in the mail since the last time I blogged.  I ordered a bunch of Cottage Cutz dies from Peachy Keen.  I love them and played with them earlier today! The base of my card was cut at 4" x 5.5".  The adorable border that was stamped came from My Creative Time's Small Talk set and the paper it's on was cut at 3.25" x 3.25".  This adorable cupid mouse came from the Spring 2012 Cottage Cutz release.  I cut it out with my Cuttlebug and added some stickles to the wings and glossy accents to the nose.
