Gift Bag

I'm back with another post for you today.  After I finished my homemade gifts, I did not want to put them in a generic gift bag.  I found some Kraft gift bags at Hobby Lobby for fifty cents and they are perfect for my glass etching projects.  The cute little penguin came from Simply Charmed and is cute at 4.5".  The North Pole sign came from Jolly Holidays and is cut at 8".  I then added some ribbon and a quick tag I made using MCT's stamps and dies.  I think the fished product turned out pretty cute.

Merry Christmas

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Winter is officially here!  We got our first snow today.  It only snowed about an inch but the roads were not pretty this morning.  It was a nice day to stay home curled up in a blanket working on grad school applications.  I do have a card to share with you today.  The background of the cad was done with Elegant Edges book feature.  I turned on the real dial size on my gypsy and made the shape as tall and wide as my card.  Although I have had my gypsy for a year, I just realized you can change the height and width independently. :)  The cute little elf came from the Jolly Holiday's cartridge.  I think this is my favorite Christmas cartridge.

PKS Sketch Challenge #66

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  I spent the weekend with my sisters and mom. We made Christmas cards Saturday and today we slept late and went to see the Muppet movie.  I loved the movie and highly recommend it.  I have a card to share with you today that I made for Peachy Keen's sketch challenge. This skater girl came from Jolly Holidays.  I embossed her hat with my Cuttlebug and added some Stickles to her button.  Here is the sketch.

Here is my card.

LFIF Holiday Recipe Cards

Happy Tuesday!  My project today was made for Peachy Keen's LFIF challenge.  The challenge was to create a card or layout to share your favorite holiday recipe.  I was excited to attempt this challenge because my sisters, mom, and I are going to have a baking party next month.  Here is what I came up with.  I plan to attach a recipe card with our favorite recipe for them to take home.

This is the side view.

My card was made from and 8x12 paper.  I scored the paper at 4", 6", and 8".  Adhesive was applied to one of the 2" strips and it was adhered to the card to make it stand up.  The original ribbon I had was white but I didn't like the way it looked so I added some Tea Dye Distress ink to change the color.

Jolly Holly Day

Yay, it's Friday!  This weekend should be pretty low key.  For the first time in a long time, we have absolutely nothing to do.  There is not even a soccer game tomorrow.  This means I should have plenty of time to work on grad school applications.  I have a Christmas card to share with you today.  I am hoping to get a jump on these early this year.  All the cuts came from the Jolly Holidays cartridge.  I forget how many adorable images are on this cartridge.  This little elf turned out so cute!
