FCCB Challenge Me Monday #114
Hello everyone! Welcome to another Challenge Me Monday at FCCB! The weekend has flown by and I can't believe June is already here. This means that the creepy crawlies are out in full force. We currently have a black snack living in our bush. My dog is not doing her job well enough and scaring it away. I'm ok with it being there as long as I don't see it. :) This week we want to see your projects with bugs!
For my card this week, the base was cut 5"x6.5". All of the matting items were cut from Birthday Bash. The cute little bee came from Create a Critter and was cut at 3.5". I heat embossed the scalloped circle with clear embossing powder with the Cane background stamp from Market Street Stamps. I added some stickles to the wings on the bee and pearls for the antenna. Lastly, I added some faux stitching and glossy accents to the cute PKS face.

I Believe in Leprechauns!
Happy Monday everyone! The weekend flew by. It seems that as the weather gets nicer, we have more going on each weekend. I think my creativity is slowly starting to come back to me. I received some happy mail from an order I placed with Peachy Keen this weekend. I ordered some Cottage Cutz dies and decided to play with them today.
The base of the card was cut at 4" x 5.5", the pot of gold was cut at 3", the hat was cut at 3.5", and the grass was cut at 3.5" x 1". I used my Cuttlebug to cut out the Tear Bear. The cloud background came from a Pink By Design background stamp and I used Broken China distress ink to stamp it. Stickles were added to the gold and glossy accents to the eyes and nose. Finally, I used some twine for a bow, chalk for the cheeks and some doodling around the edges. I think he turned out pretty cute!

Altered Frame
Hello all! I hope you are all having a wonderful Tuesday! Yesterday was absolutely gorgeous for Missouri in January. As for today, winter is officially back. I have an altered frame to share with you today. This is my first attempt and I am pretty happy with how it turned out. A good friend of mine is pregnant with baby number two and I wanted to make them something for the nursery. I bought this frame at Michaels and now wish I had taken a picture of it before. This particular frame worked out nicely as it fits a 12 x 12 sheet of paper perfectly. I first took the glass out of the frame and in pencil I traced around the 5 x 7 rectangle for the picture. Once the picture portion was traced, I cut it out and attached the paper to the frame with Modge Podge. I let the frame sit over night and then added the other images to the frame with Modge Podge. As for the images, I used the following cartridges; Create a Critter, Baby Steps and Pooh and Friends. It is kind of hard to tell from the picture but I clear embossed swirls on the clouds to give them some extra depth. I also inked all the edges with Tea Dye distress ink. Once the frame was completed I sprayed it with Krylon's Matte Finishing Spray which I found at Wal-Mart.

Plus, my step-son has two soccer games. Needless to say I should be pretty busy. Using my Gypsy, I made another spinner card for the PKS Sunshine Challenge. These are so much fun to make!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #89
Hey everyone! I hope you all have had a wonderful Saturday. Mine was not too eventful. My step-son had his first soccer game of the fall season today. They won 3-0 but it got a lot warmer than they said it was going to. My husband and I were worn out and all we did was sit in the sun for a couple hours. Needless to say, we all came home to relax afterwards. My card today was made for Cricut Cardz Challenge #89, make a jungle themed birthday card. The elephant came from Birthday Bash and the balloon from Create A Critter. As for the sentiment, it came from My Creative Time's Wow! So Many Candles set. Some brads were added to the balloon and the edge from the orange paper came from a random border punch.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, I am off to watch the Big Bang Theory and then bed.

PKS LFIF - Our Furry Friends
Happy Tuesday everyone! Yesterday was extremly busy but I did make some time today to play with my craft stuff. Today's cute little card was made for Peachy Keen's LFIF Challenge. The skunk came from the Create A Critter cartridge. His face was heat embossed and came from Peachy Keen's Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed set. Pink By Design's, Tiny Dots set, was heat embossed with clear embossing powder on the background paper. The sentiment came from My Creative Time's Happy Mail set. I then added some flowers and a heart brad. Super simple, but I think it turned out pretty cute.
This week has gotten off to a rough start but hopefully tomorrow will be better. Thanks for stopping by!

Have A Moo-velous Day
Hello everyone! I can't believe it's Sunday night already. Although our weekend was pretty uneventful, it seems to have gone by very quickly. For tonight's project, the barn and cow came from Create a Critter and the fence came from My World. Using my Gypsy, I welded two rectangles on the barn to give the appearance of the barn opening. The cute little face on the cow is from Peachy Keen's Critter Faces and the sentiment came from My Pink Stamper's Punnylicious set.

Throwback Thursday Challenge
Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I had a nice weekend away with my mom and sisters. Although I may be biased, I honestly have the best family ever. Today's project was made for My Creative Time's Throwback Thursday Challenge. The only rules were to use a retired cartridge. An old friend of mine has a birthday later in the week and she loves dogs. So, I decided to use Paper Pups, Doodlecharms, and Create a Critter to make her a birthday card.
I hope you have a wonderful Monday! My step-son returned from his mom's last night so we will be doing some back to school clothes shopping today.

Cricut Cardz Challenge #87
The weekend is finally here! I have one final project to share with you before the weekend begins. This super simple card was made for the Cricut Cardz Challenge. The only requirements were to make a thank you card with hearts without using the colors red or pink. Both the koala and balloon came from Create A Critter and the border came from Elegant Edges. Of course the adorable face on the balloon is Peachy Keen. I love their Wide Eyed Kids set.
I hope you enjoy my last project for the week. I am of to finish things up for my sister's bridal shower! Have a good weekend!

Dino-Mite
Good evening! I am on a roll this week with three posts for the week. I am pretty excited to share this card with you because it is the first time I have taken images and welded them in my gypsy to make a shape card. For this particular card, the images came from Create a Critter. The bottom of the volcano was inked with Tea Dye Distress Ink and the lava was inked with Black Soot. As for the sentiment, it came from Pink By Design's Oh Boy! set. The sweet little face came from Peachy Keen's Boy Mates assortment. I think my first attempt turned out pretty well and I am so so excited to make some more.

Peachy Keen - Let's Face It Friday Challenge
Peachy Keen has a new Let's Face It Friday challenge. As a former member of the military and a military wife, we usually know at least one person who is deployed. I love making cards to send overseas!
Here is the challenge:
Create a patriotic card representing your country! That's right - time to celebrate wherever you live! That means U.S., Mexico, Canada, South America, Africa, Australia, Europe, Asia - we want to see your country's colors, too!
- Design must be new
- Project must include Peachy Keen Faces
The only cartridge used was Create a Critter. Both sentiments were heat embossed and came from Pink By Design's Our Troops set. The embellishments used were from Jolee's Boutique and the face on the dog came from Peachy Keen's Critter Faces.
