Happy Birthday

Hello everyone.  I have a card to share with you that I made this weekend.  The base of the card was cut at 4"x5.5" and the square in the middle was cut at 2.5"x2.5".  The border was resized with Silhouette Design software and is a file from the Silhouette store.  The adorable duck is a Peachy Keen Cottage Cutz die.  I would have to say I love this duck.  It is one of my favorite dies.  It was cut out using my Sizzix Big Kick.  I added some doodling, ribbon, glossy accents, and chalk.

PKS #25 - Chalk It Up

Hello everyone!  I got to spend almost all day playing with my craft stuff. I've been having a lot of problems with my Cuttlebug.  It just would not cut my dies very well and the embossing was turning out pretty poor.  So, I went to Joann's and bought a Sizzix Big Kick instead.  My dies now cut like a dream!  I was not excited that my Cuttlebug quit working but I was excited that the dies are not the problem.

For my card tonight, the base was cut at 4"x5.5".  The border is an SVG from the Silhouette Store and the turtle is a Peachy Keen SVG.  I colored the cute little turtle with chalk.  I had never tried this before, and was a bit nervous but it was super easy to do. I used cosmetic applicators to brush the color on and once I had finished I sprayed it with hairspray so the chalk wouldn't come off.  To finish him up, I added glossy accents to the eyes and heat embossed my sentiment.

Challenge Me Monday

Hello everyone and welcome to another Challenge Me Monday at FCCB!  I can't believe it's already July.  The temperatures around here have been so hot and we decided to spend the day at the pool.
Since July 4th is two days away, this week we want to see your 4th of July inspired projects (make a project with a firework, sparkler, or other big "boom" project).  I made a card for my husband who is currently deployed.  I try to make sure to send him something from home every week.  This week's challenge made the perfect 4th of July card to send to him.
The base of my card was cut at 5"x6.5".  I resized the border in my gypsy to fit the width of my card.  The firework came from Sweet Treats and was cut at 3.5".  I stamped the firework with a cute little Peachy Keen face, added some buttons, twine, doodling, glossy accents, and chalk.

Challenge Me Monday

Happy Monday!  It's time for another challenge at FCCB.  This week we want to see your projects with either a bell, cross, or church on it.  The project doesn't have to be religious but needs to include the color BLUE.   I actually had a hard time coming up with something for this challenge.  It didn't turn out exactly how I wanted but thats ok.  The base of the card was cut at 4"x5.5".  I heat embossed the blue mat with clear embossing powder with a stamp from Market Street Stamps.  The flowers are My Creative Time dies and were cut out with my Cuttlebug.  The bell came from the Sweethearts cartridge and was cut at 2.5".  Lastly, I added some faux pearls and ribbon.

Peachy Keen Challenge #22

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Mine went by too fast.  I helped throw a baby shower for a good friend of mine.  It was so good to see her and a couple other friends.  I do not see them often enough, we all live in different cities.  After the shower, I got out my Copics which sadly have not been used in awhile.  I forgot how much I loved them.  The cute little fairy is from Peachy Keen's June SOTM.  I cut the SVG's out on my Cameo, stamped, and then colored.  The banner is a Lori Whitlock file that I resized from the Silhouette store.  I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.  The background stamp I used is Market Street's Cane stamp.  I added some stickles to the wings and buttons to the bottom.

This cute litte fairy is on an action wobble.  It took me forever to get a picture of it actually moving. :)

My Creative Time Throwback Thursday

Hello everyone!  I have a card to share with you that I made for a friends of mine who is having a baby in a couple of months.  Her shower is Saturday and I am so excited to celebrate with her!  I did the decorations and will post pictures later.  The card was cut with my Cameo and the base was cut at 4"x5.5".  Both the bear and stars are SVG files that came from Paper Piecing's By Nikki.
