Simple Wedding Card

A friend of mine is getting married in a couple of weeks and this is the card I made for the happy couple.

A close up of the background and the embossing:

Here is the inside of the card:

I used the Sweethearts cartridge for the front.  The background of the card was heat embossed with clear embossing powder using Pink by Design's background stamp Swirl Curls.  The inside sentiment also came from Pink by Design's Here Comes the Bride set.

Peachy Keen - Let's Face It Friday Challenge

Peachy Keen has a new Let's Face It Friday challenge.  As a former member of the military and a military wife, we usually know at least one person who is deployed.  I love making cards to send overseas!

Here is the challenge:

Create a patriotic card representing your country! That's right - time to celebrate wherever you live! That means U.S., Mexico, Canada, South America, Africa, Australia, Europe, Asia - we want to see your country's colors, too!
  • Design must be new
  • Project must include Peachy Keen Faces
Here is what I came up with:

The only cartridge used was Create a Critter.  Both sentiments were heat embossed and came from Pink By Design's Our Troops set.  The embellishments used were from Jolee's Boutique and the face on the dog came from Peachy Keen's Critter Faces.

Color Challenge for My Pink Stamper

The challenge was to make a project using the colors orange, green and turquoise.  I made a card for my step-son to give to my husband for Father's Day.

The cartridge I used was Paper Doll Dress Up. Both sentiments came from My Creative Time's  You're My Best Buddy stamp set.  The adorable face came from Peachy Keen's Boy Mates set.

***Use ANY "Cricut Lite" cartridge of YOUR choice & PLEASE incorporate some "BLING" somewhere on any project of your choice!Example, your project must have either, stickles, rhinestones, glossy accents, glitter.... etc...!
IF YOU DO NOT OWN ANY LITE CARTRIDGES, USE ANY "OLDER" CARTRIDGE YOU OWN!

Here is what I came up with:

For this weeks challenge, I decided to use the Twinkle Toes cartridge.  I bought it awhile back and had not used it until today.  For bling, I added rhinestones to her outfit.  The sentiment on the inside and outside were heat embossed with a stamp set from  Inkadinkadoo called Thoughts For The Day.  The adorable face came from Peachy Keen's Wide Eyed Kid's set.  Thanks for stopping by!

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge with a Twist #53

I was so excited to see for this weeks Peachy Keen Sketch challenge your project had to include a sponging technique.  Last weekend, while wedding planning for my sister I talked her into possibly using distress ink for her thank you notes.  However, at the time I had never used it.  I did find some great videos on several different techniques to try out.  When I saw the challenge this week was to incorporate a sponging technique, I played around with water splotching.  Here is the challenge and the sketch:

THE CHALLENGE
Sketch Challenge with a TWIST

1.  Create a card based on the layout AND twist provided (Peachy Keen Stamps are not required for this challenge, but if you got 'em, we always love to see what you create with them!)
2.  Project must include basic elements from provided sketch & a sponging technique (here is a great tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers if you haven't tried it before.)
3.  Link up your creation before June 13th (actual deadline is June 13th @ 2 a.m. Central Time)

This is what I came up with:

I used Quarter Note for the music note and Birthday Bash for both circles.  The background was done with Tim Holtz distress ink (Pumice Stone and Worn Lipstick).  As for the stamps, the face came from Peachy Keen's Wide Eyed Kids Assortment and the sentiment came from My Creative Time's Just a Little Note to Say set.  Thanks for stopping by!
